Subtract it all up: A new Chevy Bolt for $8k in California

Navigating how to maximize the generous federal and state subsidies for EVs is the main thing EV Life does. For funsies, we added up all possible incentives for a certain Californian buying a Chevy Bolt EV, and got a pretty sweet number: $8k. At our 5.99% interest rate, that means less than $150 a month for a new EV. Want the deets? Click here.

The Best Way to get a Used EV with the $4,000 Tax Credit

Last week we talked about how used vehicle private sales - which make up 44% of all used car sales - can still qualify for the $4k federal tax credit by registering the sale with an online dealer like KeySavvy.

If you’re shopping for a used car through a dealership, know that some - but not most - currently offer the $4k credit. But two EV-specialized used car dealerships know all about the credit, can offer it now, and can ship your used EV to you wherever you live.

Ever and Recharged offer hundreds of Used EVs and are registered to pass through the $4k tax credit at point-of-sale to eligible buyers right now. And when you pre-qualify for financing with EV Life, we scan more than 500 different incentive programs to help you maximize harder-to-find local credits and rebates.

EVs Reduce Asthma

The Verge recently published an article on an American Lung Association study showing how vastly the U.S. could diminish asthma rates of children were we to go “full EV”. With 2.7 million fewer asthma attacks over the course of 11 years, we could expect a healthier child population, including the prevention of over 500 infant deaths. While we’ve made improvements to pollution and carbon emissions from gas cars, it’s clear these machines still have significant negative effects on our society. Beyond the money savings that EVs offer, they make our air cleaner to breathe, too.

Refer & Earn $50

We’ve been financing EVs since before they were cool (actually, they’ve always been kinda cool), and we’ve found that our best new customers come from those we already know. That’s why, instead of spending marketing dollars buying digital ads from big tech companies, we’re offering a $50 cash bonus to anyone who brings in a new EV Life customer.

Share EV Life with friends and family: when they fund their loan, you’ll earn $50.
